Lendon Gray and Muffy Seaton to Judge at the
Festivale of Endangered Breeds - KY Horse Park

The Equus Survival Trust is pleased to announce Lendon Gray will judge Dressage and Muffy Seaton will judge Driving at the Festivale of Endangered Breeds at the Kentucky Horse Park Sept 5-7.
The Festivale is a fun filled 3-day weekend that will bring together 13 different endangered breeds of horses and ponies to network, display, and compete under the flag of education and conservation for their respective breeds.
The weekend’s theme, “Celebrate the Differences” carries over into the competition portion of the Festivale, aka, the Stewardship Awards of North America. (SANA) will be like no other. It will be educational and supportive in the conservation of the breeds. SANA is not about trainers, tack, grooming, trends, or who you know. It’s about preserving traditional characteristics and passing those traits to the next generation.

Featured breeds are:
Dartmoor, Exmoor, Dales, Fell, Highland, Gotland-Russ, Newfoundland, Akhal-Teke, Canadian Horse, Caspian, Cleveland Bay, Irish Draught and Lipizzan.

Each breed will have a breed judge score added in to any discipline judge score resulting in evaluations and awards based upon conformation and performance as it relates to genetics and breed standards. Commentary and scores will be public to give quick educational feedback. The special format was designed by the Equus Survival Trust to encourage breeders to retain the traditional qualities of their historical breeds.

So mark your calendars! Come and experience a fresh new way to enjoy the world of horses and help in the conservation of these historical treasurers.
